Real Madrid secured a win in their final pre-season match in the US, defeating Chelsea at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. The match featured two fantastic first-half goals, with Lucas Vázquez and Brahim scoring for Madrid following a brilliant assist from Vini Jr. with the outside of his right foot. Ancelotti’s team now looks ahead to their first potential trophy of the season: the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta in Warsaw on Wednesday, the 14th at 9 pm.
The madridistas posed their first threat in the 15th minute, when Brahim’s shot from the penalty spot narrowly missed after a series of deflections inside the area. The breakthrough came in the 19th minute when a fine through ball by Rodrygo found Brahim, who drove into the area and set up Lucas Vázquez. Vázquez’s strike deflected off Malo Gusto and found the net past the outstretched Jorgensen.

Nkunku had a chance to equalize shortly after the restart, but Lunin stood tall. Brahim nearly scored again three minutes later, hitting the post from inside the area. Nico Paz also came close with a long-range effort in the 76th minute. For the remainder of the match, Ancelotti’s side remained comfortable, wrapping up the DirecTV Soccer Champions Tour with a victory.
