Medikal Appointed Ambassador for ‘Red Means Stop’ Anti-Drug Campaign

The Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment has officially unveiled Medikal as an ambassador for the ‘Red Means Stop’ Campaign, a nationwide initiative aimed at educating young people and raising awareness about the dangers of opioid and drug abuse.

The unveiling ceremony was held at the Ministry’s Conference Room, where officials highlighted the critical role of youth engagement in combating drug abuse and promoting healthier lifestyles.

Speaking at the event, Medikal expressed his excitement about joining the campaign. “I am honoured to serve as an ambassador for this important initiative. Our youth are the future of Ghana, and it is vital that we educate them on the risks of drugs and empower them to make safe choices,” he said.

The ‘Red Means Stop’ Campaign seeks to leverage public awareness programs, social media outreach, and community engagement to reduce drug misuse among young Ghanaians. As ambassador, Medikal will be involved in outreach activities, educational workshops, and multimedia campaigns to help spread the message.

The Ministry emphasized that having a popular figure like Medikal on board is expected to strengthen the campaign’s impact and resonate with young people nationwide.

“Engaging our youth through relatable voices in music and culture is key to ensuring our anti-drug messages are heard and acted upon,” a Ministry spokesperson stated.
