Ghana women’s national under-17 football team begin quest for World Cup spot next month

The Ghana women’s national under-17 football team will kick off their campaign in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers next month with a two-legged tie against Togo women’s national under-17 football team.

Ghana will first travel to Lomé for the opening leg, scheduled for Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Stade de Kégué. The match is set to kick off at 4:00 PM.

The return leg will take place in Accra on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 PM.

The fixture marks the beginning of Ghana’s quest to secure qualification for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, with the Black Maidens aiming to make a strong statement early in the competition.

With preparations expected to intensify in the coming weeks, the technical team will be focused on assembling a competitive squad capable of navigating the qualifiers and booking a place on the global stage.
