President John Dramani Mahama has directed the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to release funds for the completion of the Ghana Awards House, a GH¢5 million two-storey administrative facility intended to serve as the headquarters for the Head of State Award Scheme.

The project, which was initiated in April 2021 under the previous administration, remains unfinished. Speaking at the Head of State Award Ceremony on Wednesday, April 1, President Mahama reaffirmed his commitment to completing the facility, underscoring its significance for youth development in Ghana.
“For 70 years, this initiative has moulded global leaders, innovators, and change makers in Ghana. It has become a symbol of hope, discipline, and transformation. As Chief Patron, I reaffirm my dedication to completing the Ghana Awards House,” he stated.

The President added that the completed facility will stand as a lasting symbol of the country’s investment in young people and their future, providing a central hub to inspire, recognize, and nurture the next generation of leaders.
