President John Dramani Mahama has inspected ongoing construction works on a new cardiology centre at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, as part of his #ResettingGhana tour of the Northern Region. The project is being undertaken by the MahamaCares (Ghana Medical Trust Fund).
The cardiology centre is expected to boost specialised healthcare delivery in the country, particularly in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. It is also aimed at easing the burden on patients who currently travel long distances to access advanced cardiac care.

During the inspection, President Mahama reaffirmed the government’s commitment to investing in modern health infrastructure to expand access to quality healthcare and improve patient outcomes nationwide.
