Otto Addo, head coach of the Ghana national football team, is expected to announce his squad for this month’s international friendlies against Austria national football team and Germany national football team as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana will take on Austria on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna, with kickoff scheduled for 17:00 GMT.
After that encounter, Addo’s side will travel to Stuttgart for a second friendly against Germany, the winners of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, on Monday, March 30.

The technical team of the Ghana national football team is expected to name a strong lineup for both matches as they fine-tune the squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Looking further ahead, the Black Stars are also scheduled to face the Mexico national football team in May before wrapping up their pre-World Cup preparations with a friendly against the Wales national football team on June 2.
Ghana, preparing for their fifth appearance at the tournament, have been drawn in Group L alongside the Panama national football team, the England national football team, and the Croatia national football team. They will begin their campaign against Panama on June 17, face England on June 23, and conclude the group stage against Croatia on June 27.
After early exits at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Black Stars are determined to produce a stronger and more resilient showing on North American soil.
