Wontumi Pledges Job Creation Push If Elected NPP National Chairman
Aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has vowed to champion job creation for Ghanaian youth if elected to lead the party.
He indicated that an NPP administration under Mahamudu Bawumia in 2028, coupled with his leadership as National Chairman, would significantly improve employment opportunities for graduates and unemployed young people across the country.
Speaking to members of the Tertiary Students Confederacy and students of the University of Ghana Business School on Saturday, May 16, 2026, Wontumi expressed confidence in his ability to contribute meaningfully to addressing Ghana’s unemployment challenges.
“If you make me the National Chairman and Dr Bawumia becomes president in 2028, God will use me to create jobs in this country,” he stated.
He further assured students that his leadership would extend opportunities beyond individuals to benefit their families.
Chairman Wontumi is among several figures positioning themselves ahead of the NPP’s internal leadership race, as the party begins early preparations toward the 2028 general elections.
