Government Secures 100 New Buses to Ease Transport Challenges

The Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has announced the arrival of a new fleet of buses aimed at easing transport challenges across the country.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, March 5, he stated that the government has begun receiving the buses as part of efforts to expand public transport capacity and reduce the burden on commuters.

He disclosed that 100 new 29-seater buses have already been delivered, forming part of a broader plan to procure a total of 300 buses to strengthen the nation’s transport system.

Outlining the timeline, the minister indicated that another 100 buses are expected to arrive in August, while the final batch of 100 is scheduled for delivery in November.

The introduction of the buses is expected to gradually improve commuting conditions, particularly during peak hours often characterised by congestion and overcrowding.
