GRIDCo Appoints Frank Asirifi Otchere as New Chief Executive

The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) has appointed Frank Asirifi Otchere as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective May 8, 2026.

The appointment was announced in a circular signed by Board Chairlady Kuukua Maurice Ankrah.

As part of the leadership changes, Ing. Samuel Nkansah has also been confirmed as Deputy Chief Executive in charge of Finance and Resources, while Ing. Samed Abdul Ibrahim has been appointed Acting Deputy Chief Executive for Engineering and Operations.

GRIDCo said it expects staff to offer the newly appointed executives the necessary cooperation and support as they assume their new roles.

The appointments come at a crucial time for the company following recent challenges in the power sector, including the fire outbreak at the Akosombo switchyard control room, which disrupted sections of electricity transmission across the country.
