ECG Begins Four-Day Power Outage Exercise in Parts of Accra East
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will today, Monday, August 10, begin a four-day planned maintenance exercise in parts of the Accra East Region.
The exercise, which will run until Thursday, August 13, will result in temporary power interruptions in affected communities from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.
According to ECG, the maintenance exercise is aimed at improving the reliability and stability of electricity supply in the affected areas.
On Monday, August 10, the outage will affect Teiman, Oyarifa, Mr Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Twumasiwaa Hospital, Ability, and surrounding areas.
On Tuesday, August 11, customers in Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, Manet Junction, and surrounding communities will be affected.
The schedule for Wednesday, August 12, covers parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot-to-Teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, parts of Madina, Libya Quarters, and surrounding areas.
The final phase of the exercise on Thursday, August 13, will affect Achimota School and surrounding areas.
ECG has urged customers within the affected communities to take note of the schedule and make the necessary preparations ahead of the temporary outages.
The company has apologised for the inconvenience the exercise may cause, stressing that the maintenance works are necessary to improve the quality and reliability of electricity service delivery.
